What drew you to become a HALTER Jockey?
A robust 
moral principle I have promised myself to uphold was not to save the world. I became a realist; I knew that alone, I could not solve the world’s problems, but I also knew that I could make individual differences in the lives of people. I may not save the whole world one day, but I swore to leave the world, or even my small corner of it, a better place than when I came into it. To commit to anything, be a sports team, a group project, or a profession, it is imperative to utilize the resources around you to improve the wellbeing of others. Although new to HALTER, I have already noticed the positive impact on the children participating in the program. I cannot wait to continue with the program and assist by any means.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a Jersey girl that moved to South Carolina to attend Clemson University (roll tigers) ! I could not bring myself home to the cold weather, so I decided to stay in the South to attend VCOM-Carolinas medical school. When I am not studying or volunteering, I enjoy to paint, listen to all genres of music (my favorite is rock and alternative), and snow ski. My hobbies include snow skiing, painting, and surfing.
EVERY child who participates at HALTER depends on the generosity of our donors, because the fees that are charged to individuals only cover 11% of the expenses.
